An evening game of football
Summer has been great this year. Good sunny weather so long warm evenings. That gave me a chance at a game of football in the paddock. Great fun! It was good to get Phil out of the office for some play. Last week my friend Enrico was here with Anna from Italy. They are doing a teacher training but at break time Enrico threw my ring for me.
This morning was pretty good also. I met a pretty young Jack Russell on my walk. She liked me, she wanted to play with me. She would have followed me home too if Phil hadn't shooed her back to her place. Ah well.....
I've often had a flea in my ear but this is ridiculous.
Well, hi again. The weather is mild nad muggy here at the moment, even so I was glad when Morag decided to do abit of gardening and I could bother her to throw my ring.
I was a bit surprised when she suddenly yelped however and went indoors. She had been stung by a wasp! I couldn't really see what all the fuss was about until blow me, if two minutes later, one stung me on the ear. It really hurt I can tell you. After that we both decided to come indoors for a bit until those pests calmed down. They do say most injuries occur at home and the garden is a dangerous place to be when those little critters are annoyed.
Wow its been a while since I last spoke with you.
Time goes fast, but here I am checking in again to let you know that I am fine and dandy. Not that the last few months haven't been challenging. I was back in kennels for awhile while Phil and Morag went off on what they called a holiday. As usual all I knew about it was that I was dumped across the valley with aload of other canines for 10 days. It was good to be with my fellows for a bit but there is nothing like your own bed and good food so I was glad to be home. Don't know if it was the kennels or that bird I ate but boy have I been ill for the last week. Horrible. I didn't know food could go through me so quickly!
Phil took me to the vet who gave me a shot of something in my shoulder. Ouch!! Then Phil had to squirt this pink gunk in my mouth. Disgusting. I got my own back though. I held it in my mouth till he let go of my muzzle and then shook my head. That gunk flew everywhere. Quite funny although Phil and Morag didn't seem to think so.
Anyway i dion't want to complain. I am right as rain now. Talking of rain, its a fine soft day here as they say, so there is not much to do. I think I'll just sit here on the porch quietly. A rabbit is bound to come by sooner or later.
Not been a good day. I manged to catch my dew claw in my ring the other day. Boy does that ever hurt. The thing was stuck out sideways.

Well this thing called Christmas came and went. I can't say I noticed much difference apart from the house being filled with sparkly lights and more fires burning in the grate.

Boy has it ever rained! We have had days of rain and high winds. Normally I like nothing better than a bit of wild weather. It's sooo envigorating! But I have to admit that the last few days have been too much for even me. I have been so bored.
